Being born in a family where classical music plays a major role, Swiss Soprano Sara Jäggi began her professional education in music as a pianist with Tomasz Herbut at the Konservatorium für Musik und Theater Bern. Having finalized her Bachelor’s degree, she deepened her education in studying classical singing at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague accomplishing her first vocal degree. It was here, where Sara discovered her passion for German and Italian Baroque repertoire, which became her specialization in her Master’s degree and subsequently the art in her professional life.

Sara`s curiosity in discovering new ranges of her voice and her wish to continuously learning and improving such, brings her regularly to the supervision of professor Ronald Klekamp.

Her professional activities are varied and include participation in a wide range of genres, including oratorio, chamber music, opera and contemporary improvisation. She works together with Ensembles like Collegium Vocale Gent (Philippe Herreweghe), Berner Kammerchor (Jörg Ritter) and the Capricornus Consort Basel (Peter Barczi). She is regularly invited to perform at diverse European early music festivals like the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht, Musikfest Bremen and Festival van Vlaanderen Brugge.

Further, Sara is founding member of the nominated Belgium Early Music Ensemble Vox Luminis, which has been praised for its seamless blend of high quality individual voices, exquisite tuning and clarity of sound. Amongst others the recording of the Musikalische Exequien from Heinrich Schütz has received several prestigious awards such as the Gramophone ‘Recording of the Year’, the ‘Baroque Vocal Gramophone Award’ and the ‘International Classical Music Award’.
